CAISSON PILE WALL
A caisson wall comprises a series of caisson piles and lagging walls. Caisson piles are installed vertically, while lagging walls are cast in between exposed caisson piles to form the external surface of the caisson wall. A capping beam, which is reinforced concrete, is then formed on-site to secure the caisson piles.
An anchored caisson wall is an extension of the caisson wall with ground anchor tie backs.
CONTIGUOUS
BORED PILE WALL
A contiguous bored pile wall is constructed using closely spaced bored piles. It is a bore cast-in-situ piles formed by excavating a hole, of the specified size (diameter), to the required depth and casting the excavated hole with concrete of specified strength after the reinforcement is lowered into the hole.
